Palace of Festivals
The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès of Cannes is a place where most of Cannes’ events are held. It was built in 1982 and renovated in 2015. This building is the nerve centre of events in Cannes.
It is in May, with the Cannes Film Festival, that all the spotlights are turned towards it, welcoming stars from all over the world. The teams at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes work hard to ensure the smooth running of the many other professional events such as MIPIM (international market for real estate professionals), MIDEM (International Music Market), Cannes Lions (International Festival of Creativity) and many other events. The summer also sees many musical events, linked to entertainment, such as the Bal des Fous, which is an event taking place every Sunday from July to August, bringing together nearly 3,000 people, dressed according to a theme that changes every week, to party in the open air, on one of the terraces of the Palais des Festival et des Congrès.
You will also find the Electronic Beaches. This is an event taking place in the same place as the Bal des Fous but with an extension on the Croisette, the beach and its fine sand. Les Plages Electroniques brings together the world’s greatest electronic music djs for two consecutive days in August. You will have understood it, the Palais des Festivals and Congresses of Cannes gathers the major part of the events of Cannes, it is the center of the Cannes activity.
It is located on the Croisette and you will have to count about fifteen minutes to get there on foot (1 kilometer) from the Clarion Suites Cannes Croisette.
